My New Favourite Red Lip! | MUA Shade 13

Hello!

When it comes to red lipstick I'm the world's biggest coward. I would have worn them and went as far as wearing Revlon's 'Cherries in the Snow' at Christmastime. However, everytime I put a red lipstick on my dear mother always says, "WHAT have you got on your lips...?! ... It doesn't suit you at all!" 

I felt great purchasing Russian Red from MAC! Lol.

So after being told Red doesn't suit me time and time again, that's why I'm so hesitant to wear it. :]

I was in Superdrug, yet again, and I saw this pretty colour. I thought well, for £1, I'll get over my mum doesn't like it on me!

I put it on and my mother saw it and I asked what she thought and she did her usual grin, but after a long pause actually said she liked it and it wasn't as bad as other red lipsticks I've worn! Hurrah!

When I applied it, I was honestly expecting it to be a little dry and hard to work with... just because I've had inexpensive lipsticks that have felt like that a few times before. 

But it's not dry or hard to work with; it is slick, it has a sheen and it glides on like butter. It didn't have the best wear time, but certainly not the worst! It bled a little because I kept it on without a lipliner, but I'm sure MUA will do a red one to sort out that problem! Annnd, best of all, it didn't dry my lips out. :) 

I am so impressed, it's my first and only MUA lipstick right now, but I can tell you, it will not be the last! I know it's not applied perfectly, I put it on straight out of the tube. :)

It really is the best red I've ever tried!

I can't wait until Christmas time, I'll feel so festive now I actually have red that seems to suit me. :) 

...who knows, I might even be brave enough to wear it before the festive season...!
